THE RESORT
The Myconian Collection Hotels & Resorts is a ‘family matter’ with a longstanding history. The founder Mr. George P. Daktylides, a pioneer in the hospitality industry of the island, built the first hotel near the center of Mykonos town, a superior 3-star hotel, called Kohili back in 1979. A year later he opened his second hotel, Korali, located right next to Kohili. Nowadays, four charming and affordable 3* hotels in Mykonos form Myconian K-Hotels.
The success of the K-Hotels led Mr. George P Daktylides in 1989 to the construction of one of the most upscale 5* hotels in Mykonos, the Myconian Ambassador, a deluxe resort on the sandy beach of Platis Yialos. In 1992, the Myconian Collection Hotels & Resorts, one of the first established group of hotels in Mykonos, was founded by Mr. George P. Daktylides.
In 2002, the Myconian Collection Hotels & Resorts, was enriched by the Myconian Imperial Thalasso Spa and Royal Myconian Thalasso Spa, first class beach resorts, recognized by the Leading Hotels of the World, located at Elia beach.
The Daktylides brothers undertook the management of the hotels, absolutely embracing and developing further their father’s vision for state-of-the-art hospitality in all their hotels and resorts.
