It is quite difficult to access Fokos beach due to lack of adequate signalling, but after ten minutes driving through a dirt road and by following the signs to Ano Mera you will get there. It is a small bay with deep waters located in the north of Mykonos and surrounded by steep rocks.
The beach has a wild beauty and is ideal for those who prefer privacy. The one and only traditional tavern that you will find there is a unique place for those who want to relax and get to know the “virgin” side of Mykonos.
In Mersini, which is right after Fokos, you will find another paradise for solitary people. Take water and food with you as there is no tavern or a refreshment bar at the beach.
